Meeting Notes 12th November 2001
Ade, Lee, Jo, Liv & Sijbren.
Received from Liz Clarke.
· Reply received from Jacky Hubbard concerning awards for achievements. Sijbren to get information about Dutch scheme.
· National Coaching Foundation now Sport Coach UK (sportcoachuk.org). Course being run on 15th November called “working with children”. Also in Ipswich on 4th December. Lee to look at website and possibly attend.
· Flyer looked at. May modify as looking to change location of juniors training. Liz doing poster element.
· Liv to look at The Perse as a possibility for Juniors Training.
· Two schools in Ely looking interested in juniors training.
· No helpers have been coming from University. Liv to email Jim.
· After school club. Liv to check with Liz regarding minute form last meeting.
· Lee has completed letter to under 11’s girls.
· Liv has a new promotional leaflet. We can use in our own promotion as Croydon example. £25 for 50 copies. Liv to talk to Chrissy Jeffries.
· Duxford base still missing an another damaged.
· Only two complete juniors posts at Netherhall. Borrow from St. Matthews until grant sorted out.
· CKA to be asked at next meeting about a new base.
· Possibility of Juniors games next year. Liz to gauge opinion form Norwich. Perhaps have game on Finals Day. Lee would look after Cambridge end. MINUTE STANDS FROM LAST MEETING.
· No helpers at last training session. Email to clubs concerning helpers along with dates to be sent out by Ade.
· Contacts list of juniors can’t be given by Liz due to DPA. Information to be gathered at training using mauve sheets that Simon had.
· As it’s a county team there are no annual subs but some from of registration is required.
· Another two months and another coach will be required at this rate of growth.
· Newsletter – Rick may help out. Introduction of who Lee & Sijbren are to be included.
· Basic rules to also be included.
· Debbie Etheridge has advised it is up to Cambridge to sort out team/matched. Central only have under 13’s and will be played 24th November at The Perse. Scotland has no juniors but London has loads. We need to advise London what we have in the way of teams. We have under 11’s, under 13’s and will check with Liz as to whether we can play an under 9’s team. Possibly also under 21’s. Liv to get back to London area.
· Lee has bought 1st Aid kit and is reclaiming money from CKA.
· Awaiting accounts to be audited for applications
· Liv to chase Dave Sheldon concerning UK Fire sponsorship.
· City Grant – Liv to take over and talk to Phil Buttinger.
This will be Jan/Feb 2002. To be held at Netherhall. Try to get people to sign up for this to make it look popular. No interest to date.
· Lee contacted a Mrs. Edwards from Comberton Village College and awaiting response.
· Lee has Police Check forms from St. Matthews and will get distributed to helpers and checked out.
· Lee has prices form Strikes Bowling for possible bowling trip. Travel by train is recommended. Promote through Juniors Newsletter. Lee to put something together. Four adults required. Newsletter also to include BKA Youth Cup match (1st December), Inter Area Cup and London tournament.
· BKA have sent forms to record junior’s result on. Jo to liase with Liz with forms.
· Lee to back to us concerning prices of kit that has been selected.
